Office Support - Iron Mountain, MI


Full time position Monday – Friday; 7:30 to 4:00.

Will provide office support to the PSI management team and report directly to the Office Manager.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain records for employee payroll, benefit and personal information.

  • Provide backup help in the hiring process with setting up fingerprinting appointments and performing background checks.

  • Code invoices for accounts payable entry.

  • Perform associated billing to customers

  • Review accounts receivable and contact customers when appropriate.

  • Initiate and continue rapport with employees and site supervisors on payroll related issues.

  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office software programs.

  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to:

    • answering phones, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.

  • Provide administrative support to the PSI Management Team.

  • Help with uniform inventory orders and distribute accordingly.

  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.

  • Use internet for various functions.

  • Support staff in assigned project based work.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  •  Professional verbal communication skills including telephone protocol, with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  •  Professional written communication skills to include business writing and ability to type 50 wpm. 

  •  Proficient with numbers and mathematics.

  •  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and Access). This is normally acquired through three

        to five years of  clerical/office experience.


  •  Must be able to pass criminal history check and drug test.

  •  Must be organized, detail oriented and flexible with work and time requirements

  •  Strong time management

  •  Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

  •  Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment and to work independently

  •  Maintain confidentiality.

  •  Must possess and develop an atmosphere of respect and credibility.

  •  Must have the ability to establish a common understanding of goals and expectations within the business unit.

  •  Possess a commitment to safety at all times and demonstrate this commitment by their actions.

  •  Must follow Company and Employee Policy Manual rules and regulations as well as comprehending and disseminate information to

        employees and management.

        employees and management.
