Lubrication Services:
PSI has provided preventative maintenance lubrication
since 1990. We presently are responsible for a $1 billion dollar pulp and
paper mill owned by Verso located in Quinnesec, Michigan.
We utilize full-time employees to perform daily lubrication tasks and offer
additional part-time labor during shutdowns. We perform all lubrication maintenance
to lube systems and equipment in the paper machine area. During our service
routes, we complete maintenance work requests for equipment in need of repair.
PSI is also responsible for sampling all oil reservoirs and shipping out samples for analysis. Our efforts are coordinated through area maintenance supervisors and planners.
Tool Crib Maintenance & Attendants:
PSI can monitor a maintenance tool room at your organization.
We are responsible for tool withdrawals and returns, developing and keeping
tool records, performing safety inspections on equipment, small tool repairs,
ordering replacement tools, supplies and maintaining an inventory of consumable
items and gang boxes.
Supercalendar Fill Roll Turning and Sanding:
We have operated a 50 H.P Broadbent Lathe to machine
supercalendar rolls since 1991. We currently turn an average of twenty five
(25) cotton filled rolls per week. The rolls are thirty-two (32) inches
in diameter with a face of three hundred (300) inches. Our customer specifications
call for a maximum taper of +0.002 across the entire face length. We provide
24 hour service and have a full-time crew of employees dedicated to this
service contract.
Chipper Knife Sharpening/Grinding:
PSI is currently under contract to sharpen chipper,
slicer, bed, guillotine and feeder knives for the paper industry. All knives
are required to meet certain specifications. Our work has a direct impact
on wood chip size, which must remain consistent to achieve quality pulp
production
